HK SIBBS provides published cost data and a deterministic calculation for general information. It does not provide financial, tax, accounting, legal, immigration or other professional advice.

Living cost figures

Living-cost estimates use published reference data for three household profiles. They may not reflect your home, location, lifestyle, family or actual spending. The results are not real-time prices, quotes or recommendations.

Salaries tax estimate

Estimated Salaries Tax uses simplified reference deductions, allowances and rates aligned with the September 2025 data model. It is not a formal or complete tax assessment. Your actual liability can depend on the year of assessment, deductions, allowances, income sources and personal circumstances.

USD display

USD values use the reference display rate HK$1 = US$0.1287. This is not a current market, bank, cash or transaction exchange rate. Confirm current rates before making a financial decision.

Check current sources

Data, tax rules and government guidance can change. Check the linked government and source websites, and seek qualified professional advice when your decision requires current or personal information.

HK SIBBS is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Hong Kong Government, HK Talent Engage, the Census and Statistics Department, the Inland Revenue Department or the Immigration Department. External links are provided for reference. We do not control their content, availability or privacy practices.

Availability and reasonable use

We may correct, update or remove site content without notice. Do not misuse the website, interfere with its operation, or represent its output as an official or guaranteed result.
